Not all men understand the thrill of a fashion show and not all women understand the intrigue of concept cars at automotive conventions, but the concept is the same. Designers of both products are temporarily liberated from the confines of “function” and allowed to explore “form" freely. On the runway and in the showroom, designers often realize their artistic visions without consideration of logistics, physical limitations, or practicality. The end product which reaches the consumer looks dramatically different and is often more reasonable, sometimes retaining only a small portion of their concept design. Doing research, contrast either a concept car by a major automobile manufacturer or an outfit by a major fashion designer/brand with its more reasonable counterpart available for purchase at a retailer. Then identify what changes were made and why the designers might have altered their design. Please summarize your research and findings in a 400-500 words essay.
